Casio Men’s WVM120DJ-7 Solar Atomic Metal Watch Review

I really think this watch is cool! It gets its power from the sun and it sets itself by radio signals. When I got this watch it was at the medium power level. After it was in direct sunlight for about an hour or so it was on the high power level. And, it has not dropped below that setting since that time. This watch is kind of big and it is durable. It seems that it would be hard to scratch the crystal because of the way the watch is made. I really like this watch and I am glad I bought it. My sons might get one for their birthdays this year!

Timex Men’s T5G801 Ironman 50-Lap Stainless Steel Bracelet Watch Review

I searched for a long time to find a new watch that matched my old Timex for the display characteristics I wanted. The only watches I could find had plastic straps but this model had a steel band. Yes, I could have purchased a steel band but even though the plastic strap models were less expensive, the total cost would be about the same.

This is a great watch. Has every feature I wanted and a few more. I especially like the up/down setting feature without having to go completely around the dial as with most watches. The time display is larger than most and the backlighting is superb. Displaying the second time zone is as simple as pressing the chrono “start/lap” button for less than 2-3 seconds. Longer than that and it locks in the T2 mode which I find very handy for shortwave listening with T2 set at GMT. Just press again to return to local time. Neat.
I had to remove two links from the band but that was an easy task (Hint: use a 1mm drill bit as a pin punch).

I just hope my friends don’t notice it is an “Ironman” watch
